Red Sox update

Boston had lost six of 10 games after the break before Bill Mueller's ninth-inning home run off Mariano Rivera on Saturday gave the Red Sox a dramatic 11-10 victory over the New York Yankees. Following last night's 9-6 Boston victory, the Yankees still hold a 7 1/2 -game bulge over the Red Sox in the American League East. Boston is 33-18 at home, but only 21-26 on the road. The Red Sox haven't visited Camden Yards since the season's first series, when the teams split four games. The Orioles took two of three from the Red Sox last week at Fenway Park. They scored eight runs off Martinez in 6 2/3 innings, but Wakefield shut them out over seven innings the next night.
