Mark DiFelice (7-3) worked three innings in relief for the win, and Darwin Cubillan picked up his 19th save. Starter Dustin Moseley (0-2) took the loss for the Bats (46-52).

Reading 5, Bowie 4: Kevin Barker doubled and John Castellano singled as the visiting Phillies (43-53) scored four runs in the eighth inning.
