Family Fun Day

Children and families are invited to a day of fun at the Patterson Sunday. View chalk drawings by artist Michael Kirby and let the kids compete for prizes in a chalk-drawing contest. Take in a puppet show by Professor Horn's Punch and Judy Show, hear the singers and songwriters of the Baltimore Songwriters Association and watch dance demonstrations by Buddy and Carol of La Triolet. Cool off in the theater at a screening of The Screenpainters and the Formstone documentary Little Castles.

The Patterson Family Fun Day is free. The event will be held at Creative Alliance at the Patterson Sunday noon to 5 p.m. at 3134 Eastern Ave. Call 410-276-1651 or visit www.creativealliance.org.

Street festival

Head for Harford Road Saturday for the 12th annual Hamilton Street Festival and Classic Car Show. Enjoy crafts, clowns, gifts, games, food and drink and a classic car show, as well as displays from the Baltimore City Fire Department and Baltimore City Police Department.

The Hamilton Street Festival will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the 5400 and 5500 blocks of Harford Road. The road will be closed for the event. Call 410-254-2323.

`Doctor Doolittle'

Baltimore actress Liz Boyer Hunnicut directs Doctor Doolittle with a cast including students from Baltimore and Harford counties. Bradley Bowers of Towson is playing the title role in this musical, based on the book by Hugh Lofting, dramatized by Olga Fricker.

Performances are scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.. at Sheppard Pratt Conference Center, 6501 N. Charles St., Towson. Tickets are $10. For more information, contact Children's Playhouse of Maryland at 410-321-6595.
