Begun is associate at Warschawski agency

Warschawski Public Relations appointed Kelli Begun to the staff as an associate at the Baltimore-based agency. She is responsible for media relations, branding and strategic planning for clients in the education, consumer and technology industries.

A graduate of Rutgers University, she was formerly with the McLean, Va.-based Merritt Group.

New Positions

Jacobson is Essex Corp. CFO, executive VP

Essex Corp. appointed Lisa Jacobson as chief financial officer and executive vice president. She has overall responsibility for the accounting and finance functions of the Columbia-based company.

The Oklahoma State University graduate is a certified public accountant and formerly was chief financial officer for Lockheed Martin Government Services Group Inc.

Raivel, Chottiner join Potomac Valley Brick

Potomac Valley Brick & Supply Co., based in Rockville, appointed Jason Raivel as sales manager and Brett L. Chottiner as an architectural masonry consultant for the Baltimore-area market.

Raivel manages local sales and training activities and is to expand company exposure in the area. A graduate of the University of Maryland, the Towson resident is active with the Masonry Institute of Maryland.

Chottiner, a graduate of Lebanon Valley College, was formerly with Maryland Screen Printers Inc.

Commercial Real Estate

Manekin promotes Ghine, appoints Biddix, Connor

Manekin LLC promoted Ilona G. Ghine to lease administrator and appointed Karyn Biddix and Keli M. Connor as property managers for the Columbia-based commercial real estate management and construction firm.

Ghine maintains records, audits billings and abstracts leases. A native of Latvia, the Columbia resident is a graduate of the University of Latvia.

Biddix manages physical and fiscal aspects of flex, medical and retail properties in the Baltimore market. A University of Maryland University College graduate, she lives in Columbia.

Connor, a Baltimore resident and graduate of Loyola College, manages the SunTrust Building downtown and 100 West Road property in Towson.
