On June 27, 2004 WOODROW ROY BARR, 81, of Baltimore, MD., died at the VA Medical Center. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1985. He was a member of John H. B. Latrobe Lodge 165, American Legion Post 148 and VFW Post 2621. He was preceded in death by his wife Adah Pauline Barr and his daughter Joyace Ann Shimel. Surviving are sons, Woodrow J. Barr of Edgewood, MD., and Andrew Barr of Stafford, VA., daughter Pamela Jean Shimel of Baltimore, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Barbara Butschky of Baltimore, who was his constant companion during recent years. The Barr family wants to express their sincere appreciation to Mrs. Butschky's family for their support and friendship during their father's later years. Mr. Barr was buried in Kingwood, W. VA., on July 8. A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 A.M. on July 24, in the chapel of the Grand Masonic Lodge of Maryland at 304 International Circle, Cockeysville, MD.
