`The Emperor's New Clothes'

Westminster's Professional Theatre Company, in residence at McDaniel College, presents the children's favorite The Emperor's New Clothes, which opens Saturday at the Theatre on the Hill. The performance is an adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale and will involve audience participation. Families can meet the characters after the show.

Military history

Celebrate 200 years of history at Fort McHenry Saturday. A concert of military music by the Baltimore Brass begins at noon on the Fort McHenry parade ground and will include historical narration. Volunteers will be dressed as soldiers from the War of 1812 through World War II. Artifacts and photographs will also be on display.

Fort McHenry is at the east end of Fort Avenue. Admission to the event is $5 for adults 17 and over. Children under 17 are free. Visit or call 410-962-4290.

Folkie Fridays

The Baltimore Folk Music Society presents Friday Fun Nights tomorrow and subsequent Fridays through July 30 at Port Discovery. Tomorrow, storytellers Barbara Woodey and Jo Puckett will entertain children and families. On July 23, there will be a family dance with Susan Taylor, and July 30 will feature storyteller Mike Franch.
