Hampstead rail crossings to be replaced by CSX

July 14, 2004

Railroad crossings at Gill Avenue and Shiloh Avenue in Hampstead will be closed starting today so that CSX can replace the grade crossings.

The work has been tentatively planned for the next two weekends. The railroad, not the town, scheduled the closings.

CSX has scheduled work on Shiloh Avenue to conclude Monday. Gill Avenue will be the detour for Shiloh during work.

When the Gill Avenue work is being done next week, Shiloh Avenue will be the detour route.
