Mrs. JOYCE LIPPERT BRUMBAUGH, 84, of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully Saturday, July 10, 2004 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Joyce was born on February 5, 1920 in Baltimore, Maryland. She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Edward W. Brumbaugh, her three children, Joy Baldwin and husband Woody of Durham, NC, Wayne Brumbaugh and wife Jane of Huntersville, NC, Gayle Ford and husband Mike of Winston-Salem, NC, and her brother Richard E. Lippert and wife Susan of Bel Air, Maryland. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Amy Baldwin White and husband John, Kate Baldwin Hoyle and husband Wilson, Sarah Ford Goodfellow and husband Blake, Bekah Ford and fiance Clay Cooke, Hannah Ford, Beth Brumbaugh and Matt Brumbaugh, and six great-grandchildren. Joyce grew up in Woodlawn, Maryland and lived with her husband Edward in Catonsville, Maryland most of her married life until they retired and moved to North Carolina to be with her family. She was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her beautiful smile, spunky spirit and selfless love for her family and friends will always be remembered. The Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 14, at Epworth United Methodist Church in Durham, NC. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 AM in the Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home; 101 Hospice Lane; Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or the Durham County Public Library; Durham, NC. Arrangements by Capital Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC.
