Killed in Iraq

As of yesterday, 867 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations. Since May 1, 2003, when President Bush declared major combat in Iraq at an end, 729 U.S. soldiers have died.

Marine Lance Cpl. Timothy R. Creager, 21, Millington, Tenn.; killed Thursday in Anbar province; assigned to 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
