Slow Jets hit runway

Local indie-rockers the Slow Jets will blast off tomorrow at the Talking Head.

The Morphius Records act is scheduled to rock after This Blue Holiday, Slot Racer and Hockey Island put in time.

Doors open around 9:30 p.m.

Sonar stop

Shake your booty on the club floor tomorrow at Sonar's Taxidermy Lounge night.

Though not to be confused with the Talking Head's Taxidermy Lodge indie-rock dance party, the weekly event features many of the Head's resident Tax-Lo DJs, including Cullen Stalin and Justin Sirois.

Doors open around 9 p.m., and there is no cover charge before 10 p.m.

Getting your Fixx

British band the Fixx will break it down Sunday at the Funk Box.

Perhaps known best for its 1983 hit single, "One Thing Leads to Another," the decades-old act will take the stage around 8 p.m.
