Helen Zughaib's art
The Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts presents the bright, patterned work of artist Helen Zughaib.
Presented in the hall's Air Gallery, the solo show features more than a dozen recent gouache-and-ink pieces by the Washington resident.
Zughaib's exhibit will remain on display through July 2.

New landscapes
Minimalist design combines with vibrant color in Scott Yuhanick's new series of landscape works, on display at John Yuhanick Associates at the Colonnade.
New American Oils, with a dozen of Yuhanick's abstract and bright scenes, runs through June 18.

`Arts Alive'
A giant cicada and other quirky creations are the focus of the Herring Run Artists Network's new group show, Arts Alive.
Paintings, drawings, illustrations, sculpture and ceramics are included in the exhibition, which includes a 10-foot long bug, made from yard waste and other natural materials.
Arts Alive will remain on display through June 27 at the Large Art Company.
