Isabel victims invited to housing workshops

Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. and officials from the state Department of Planning and the Department of Housing and Community Development are sponsoring regional Hurricane Isabel Housing Assistance Workshops for Marylanders whose homes were damaged by Tropical Storm Isabel last year.

The workshop for affected Harford and Cecil County homeowners will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Perryville Community Fire Company, 920 Principio Furnace Road, Perryville. Representatives from the state, the Maryland Bankers Association and others will provide information on financial programs for Marylanders who need to rebuild or renovate their homes.
