Triple-A International League

Toledo 3, Ottawa 0: Rich Gomez (3-for-4) had a triple, an RBI and scored two runs to power the host Mud Hens (23-25) past the Lynx (19-28).

Double-A Eastern League

Bowie 3, New Britain 2: Val Majewski hit a homer, double, and scored twice to back the pitching of Brian Finch as the visiting Baysox (26-20) defeated the Rock Cats (21-24).

Majewski hit a two-out double in the fourth inning off Rock Cats starter Boof Bonser (1-5) and scored on a single by Keith Reed to give Bowie a 1-0 lead.

Eli Whiteside hit his second homer of the season leading off the fifth, and Majewski hit his eighth with the bases empty and two out in the sixth.

Single-A Carolina League

Frederick 7, Lynchburg 4: The visiting Keys (10-36) had 12 hits to take the first of four against the Hill Cats (21-26).

Single-A South Atlantic League

Hagerstown 13, Lakewood 1: Bryan Millikan (2-3) held the Blue Claws (21-25) to one run and two hits and Jesse Schmidt hit a grand slam in the seventh inning to power the Suns (21-26) to victory.

Schmidt, Nate Schierholtz, Jason Columbus and Keith Anderson (3-for-4) all homered in the game. Kyle Kendrick (3-5) took the loss.

Delmarva 9, Lake County 2: The visiting Shorebirds (21-26) scored seven runs in three innings to break an eight-game losing streak.

Winner Chris Ray (2-3) allowed two runs over six innings. Sean Smith (5-2) took the loss for the Captains (22-25).
