Pupils create quilts about Bible stories

Sunday school fourth- and fifth-graders at Calvary United Methodist Church in Gamber have each created a quilt as part of a Bible project.

The children made the quilts to help them remember Bible stories.

Pupils designed a picture or a symbol for a quilt block from each Bible lesson and assembled the pieces.

Quilt squares contain pictures and symbols of Old and New Testament stories, as well as the Christmas story.

Teacher Genie Corbin and Renee Yingling sewed the blocks onto quilt tops.
