I-695 westbound ramp at I-295 closing weeknights

The ramp from westbound Interstate 695 (the Baltimore Beltway) to northbound Route 295 (the Baltimore-Washington Parkway) will be closed weekdays after 10 p.m. through August so state crews can reconfigure the severe curve.

The ramp is a main travel route for commuters heading from Anne Arundel County into Baltimore, but state officials say that no work will be done weekends or during the day. The closings, Mondays through Fridays, will end at 5 a.m.

Work on the $995,000 project was to begin last night.

Edgewater man indicted on charges of abusing 3 boys

SNOW HILL -- A Worcester County grand jury indicted an Edgewater man yesterday on charges of molesting three boys while they vacationed with him in Ocean City.

Ocean City police filed more than 20 charges against Loren John Williams, 43. He is accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy in 1996 and two boys, ages 13 and 15, last year.

The teens, all from Anne Arundel County, worked for Williams cutting his grass or baby-sitting, said Ocean City police Detective Brett Case.
