WINE OF THE WEEK

May 26, 2004|By Michael Dresser

2003 Pepi Oregon Pinot Grigio ($11). Nothing complex or world-shattering here - just a crisp, fresh white wine with verve and style. It's a medium-bodied, fragrant wine with lively flavors of minerals, sweet pea and pears. Dry but not severe, it should match up well with grilled seafood or fried chicken. Or just sip it by itself on the deck or at poolside. Best of all, the classy, sophisticated screw cap ensures freedom from cork taint.
