Angels update

Anaheim took two of three from the Orioles last weekend at Camden Yards, despite the spate of injuries that has robbed the team of half its starting lineup. The injury news kept getting worse, too. Troy Glaus will undergo shoulder surgery today, and, at best, he hopes to return to the lineup for August and September. Garret Anderson was diagnosed with arthritis in his upper back, neck and shoulders, and he is still out indefinitely. Darin Erstad (strained right hamstring) and Tim Salmon (left knee irritation) are also out. Despite dropping two of three to the Yankees, the Angels continue to lead the American League West with a 26-15 record. Right fielder Vladimir Guerrero ranks among the league leaders with a .337 batting average.
