Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Arson/arrest: A homeless man was arrested Tuesday night and charged with setting fire to a 14-foot boat and the convertible top of a car in an alley in the 3700 block of S. Hanover St. that evening. Damage was estimated at $1,500. Billy Maddy, 63, was arrested at a nearby gas station.

Stolen vehicle: A 1995 Dodge Caravan with tags ABW 17F was stolen Tuesday from the parking lot of Harbor Hospital in the 3000 block S. Hanover St.

Northeastern District

Stabbing: Police were seeking a man in the stabbing of another man during a domestic incident in a house in the 3300 block of Kentucky Ave. about 7:15 p.m. yesterday. The assailant fled in a white Ford Tempo. The 45- year-old victim underwent surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Robbery/carjacking: Mani Paras, 45, a deliveryman for Mickey's Pizza, was taking food to a house in the 6100 block of Elinore Ave. about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday when three men, one with a knife, robbed him of the food and money. The men then forced a passenger out of Paras' 2001 Toyota Corolla and fled in the vehicle.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Police were seeking two men in a theft from a house in the 200 block of S. Bouldin St. on Monday. While the female occupant talked to one man at the rear door, a second man entered her living room through the front door and stole her purse containing cash and a silver rosary.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Stolen car/officer hurt: Members of the Regional Auto Theft Team and a precinct officer in a separate marked patrol car were attempting to stop a stolen 1992 Lincoln near Interstate 70 and Security Boulevard about 10 p.m. Tuesday when the driver rammed the patrol car, injuring the officer. The driver escaped, and the car was later found abandoned on Gwynns Falls Parkway in the city. The unnamed officer was treated at Sinai Hospital for minor injuries.

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: A woman posing as a city water department employee entered a house in the 6300 block of Frederick Road on Monday to "check the water system," and -- while the female occupant was distracted -- fled with several pieces of gold and silver jewelry.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house under construction in the first block of Heritage Hills Court between April 6 and Tuesday and stole a microwave oven valued at $300.
