Akron 3, Bowie 1: The visiting Baysox (17-16) dropped their fourth straight and fell to fourth place in the Southern Division. Akron (18-14) scored three runs in the sixth.

Single-A Carolina League

Myrtle Beach 8, Frederick 0: Jose Capellan and Ralph Roberts combined for the shutout. The Keys fell to 6-27. Myrtle Beach improved to 19-15.

Charleston (S.C.) 5, Delmarva 3

Rome 11, Hagerstown 3: Steve Pyzik went 4-for-5 with three RBIs for the visiting Braves (16-17) against the Suns (13-21).
