Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Victim named: Police yesterday identified Jason Baughman of the 2400 block of Lauretta Ave. as the man fatally shot Monday afternoon in the 500 block of N. Warwick Ave. Baughman, 22, was shot several times about 3 p.m. in front of a convenience store near his home and died at the scene. No arrest had been made.

Southeastern District

Robbery: A man removed soap, shampoo and compact discs from shelves at La Guadalupana, a store in the 500 block of S. Wolfe St., about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, placed the items under his coat and walked toward a door. When two employees attempted to stop the man, he assaulted them and fled.

Robbery: A man, 53, was walking in the 1800 block of Dundalk Ave. about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when two men, one of whom implied he had a handgun, robbed him of $40.

Robbery: Police were seeking two men, one armed with a handgun, who robbed a man, 52, of $470 Wednesday morning in the 400 block of S. Broadway.

Southern District

Assault/arrest: Two teen-age boys were fighting in the 1000 block of Bethune Road about 6 p.m. Wednesday when the stepfather of one boy, 14, separated them and struck the other child, 13, in the face and choked him, police said. Arrested and charged with aggravated assault was Dwayne Branch, 42, of Bethune Road.

Burglary/arrest: A man, 31, was arrested Tuesday and charged with breaking into a house in the 700 block of McHenry St. that day and stealing tools, a cellular phone and gas credit cards. Charged was Derrick Lindsey, 31, of the 1800 block of Presstman St.

Burglary: Sheets of aluminum valued at $200 were stolen Tuesday from Warren-Ehret Co. of Maryland in the 600 block of W. West St.

Theft from vehicle: A portable DVD player valued at $350 was stolen Wednesday from a vehicle parked in the 700 block of Battery Ave.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Student arrested: A 14-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday afternoon at Stemmers Run Middle School and charged as a juvenile with threatening an assistant principal by taking a stance as though he was armed with a rifle and pretending to shoot the official. At the precinct, the same pupil threatened Officer Robert Warnick, telling the officer he knows where he lives and threatening to damage his house and injure his pets, police said. The boy was charged with two counts of assault by threat and released to his parents.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a storage locker in the basement of an apartment building in the first block of Phlox Circle between May 3 and Wednesday and stole hairstyling equipment.

Burglary: Credit cards, gift cards and a wallet containing $110 were stolen Wednesday from a car parked in the garage of a house in the 2100 block of Harmony Woods Road.

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: Jewelry valued at $800 was stolen May 4 from a house in the 5500 block of Highridge Road. The burglary was reported Wednesday.
