KAREN B. (Jones) KING, 35, died at approximately 11:30 P.M. on May 9 in Felton. Karen was born on October 1, 1968 in Baltimore, MD. She is the daughter of Vickey L. (Schuman) Meyers and husband Paul of Brogue and father Harold E. Jones, Sr. of Baltimore, MD. She was a 1986 graduate of Kenwood High School in Baltimore, MD. Karen was a Quality Assurance Manager for First Quality Janitorial Service in York. She attended North Hills Bible Church in York and was a member of the Liberty Club in York. Karen is also survived by a son, Chad Shortt of Sykesville, MD, a daughter, Victoria Shortt of Brogue, a brother, Harold E. Jones, Jr. of Dundalk, MD, a half brother, Brett Jones of Shrewsbury, half sister, Nicole Jones of Shrewsbury, two step brothers, Troy and Jason Meyers of Bangor, PA, a maternal grandmother, Lois Schuman, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Her daughter, Hannah J. King died with her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 14th at North Hills Bible Church, 1951 North Hills Road, York. Her pastor, Rev. David E. Moss, will officiate. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 9 to 11 A.M. at the church. Burial will follow the service in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. The Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Home, Inc. 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements.
