Two men remained hospitalized yesterday after their car spun out of control early Sunday and rolled into a yard north of Crownsville, Anne Arundel County police said.

The driver, Timothy George Potee, 20, of the 200 block of Cape Sable Court, Pasadena, was in critical condition, and his passenger, Ryan Matthew Wegner, 19, of the 1500 block of Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., was in serious condition, according to a spokeswoman at Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Both men were wearing seat belts.

Police said Potee was driving his 2004 Volkswagen east on Sunrise Beach Road when he lost control of the vehicle about 12:30 a.m. near Old Herald Harbor Road. The car spun counterclockwise, crossed the double yellow line and rolled into a yard, police said. Speed was a factor in the accident, police said.
