On Saturday, May 8, 2004 JOSEPH S. GELB, 66 years old, born in Bridgeton, NJ., passed away. He graduated from Hun School in Princeton, NJ and received a B.S. from Boston University, a law degree from the University of Maryland and a Masters Degree in Taxation from New York University. He lived and practiced law in Vineland, NJ, in a solo practice. During the Viet Nam war he was a Captain in the Air Force, in the Adjutant General's Office. He was the son of the late Dr. Nathan and Bella (nee Goldstein) Gelb of Bridgeton, NJ. He is survived by his sister Elaine Gelb Lowenthal and brother-in-law, Daniel A. Lowenthal, Jr., of Baltimore, MD., and his long time companion Sandra Surdam, nieces and nephews. The family suggests remembrances, in Mr. Gelb's memory, be made to the Associated Jewish Charities, 101 West Mount Royal Ave., Baltimore, MD 21201. Graveside services will be held at The Beth Abraham Memorial Park, Rosehayn on Monday May 10 at 1:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brooks West Side Funeral Home, 181 Atlantic Street, Bridgeton.
