Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Shooting: Stokes Gurbar, 23, told police he was riding a bicycle in the 800 block of N. Montford Ave. about 1:45 a.m. Saturday when he heard several gunshots and felt pain in his left leg. Gurbar, of the 1100 block of E. Preston St., was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the left knee and reported in good condition. Police recovered at least five shell casings at the scene.

Central District

Theft from vehicle: School books, a CD player and sunglasses -- all valued at $500 -- were stolen Saturday from a 2003 Nissan parked in the first block of W. Mulberry St.

Southern District

Stolen vehicle: A 1993 Plymouth Acclaim with tags HWR 568 was stolen Saturday in the 1100 block of Hollins St.

Baltimore County

Woodlawn Precinct

Kidnapping/arrest: A Pimlico man was arrested early Saturday and charged with kidnapping his former girlfriend and assaulting her. The woman, 36, was arguing with the man at her home in the 3300 block of Offutt Road in Randallstown about 10:30 p.m. Friday when he forced her into her car and drove around the area for a few hours before getting out at Woodmoor Elementary School and fleeing, according to police. While the woman was driving home to report the incident, police -- who had been notified that she had been taken -- spotted and stopped the car, said Officer Bryen Glass. Police responded to the area and arrested the man at Windsor Mill Road and Windsor Boulevard about 2 a.m. Saturday. Ike Turner, 28, of the 3300 block of Avondale Ave. was charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, vehicle theft and assault, and was being held at the county detention center on $500,000 bail.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 3900 block of Maladies Court and stole stereo equipment of unknown value after a resident was evicted.

Burglary: Lawn-care equipment of unknown value were stolen Saturday from a shed in the 6600 block of Marott Drive.

Essex Precinct

Theft: A life-size plastic deer lawn ornament was stolen over the weekend from the front yard of a house in the 600 block of Virginia Ave.

Burglary: A hedge trimmer, leaf blower and chain saw -- all valued at $544 -- were stolen Saturday from a trailer in the rear yard of a house in the 700 block of Norris Lane.

Burglary: A roll of copper wire valued at $1,000 was stolen between Friday night and Saturday morning from Riggs Distler Inc. in the 11400 block of Pulaski Highway.
