Chamber to hold educational awards dinner on June 1

The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce is holding its seventh annual Educational Excellence Awards Dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. June 1 at La Fontaine Bleu in Glen Burnie. This year's event will honor more than 50 educators and at least 10 businesses for their partnership with local schools.

Guest speaker will be Miss Maryland, Marina Harrison, who lives in Anne Arundel County and is a graduate of the county high school system. Tickets for this event are $30. Table sponsorships are available for $300, with each sponsor receiving four tickets, recognition from the podium and a listing in the program. Sponsors will also be seated at the school of their choice.

Street map to feature businesses in county

The Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce is offering an opportunity to market local businesses to the community. The commerce and Target Maps are working to publish 16,000 copies of this up-to-date four-color Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Detail Street Map.

The Business and Professional Showcase Directory of Members will classify participating businesses by category, including a brief description of products and services. The back cover and a limited number of interior panels also are available for advertising.

Participating advertisers will receive a complementary supply of the folded maps with a countertop display dispenser. Target maps can be ordered by calling 800-933-3909.
