The Maryland women's lacrosse team received the No. 2 seed in the Division I lacrosse tournament when the pairings were announced Sunday.

Maryland (14-4) hosts Temple (11-7) on May 13 in College Park. Loyola (14-3) hosts Vanderbilt (10-5) and Johns Hopkins (12-4) travels to No. 4 James Madison (15-3). Mount St. Mary's (15-4) will play at Virginia (15-3).

Johns Hopkins earned the program's first bid to the tournament in its six years at the Division I level. The game time has been tentatively set at 4 p.m. If Hopkins wins, the Blue Jays will play Sunday against the winner of the first round game between Vanderbilt and fourth-seeded Loyola.

The Mount will also be making its first appearance in the NCAA tournament. The squad earned a spot in the 16-team field after defeating Manhattan 12-7 on Saturday in an NCAA Division I play-in game.

The Cavaliers will be making their ninth-straight NCAA tournament appearance and 17th overall. Virginia, which won the national championship in 1991 and 1993, earned a spot in the bracket after defeating Duke 17-7 in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) championship game on April 25.

Princeton (16-0) received the top seed in the tournament.

The semifinal and championship games will be played at Princeton.
