Basketball

NBA: Fined Mavericks $25,000 for showing pre-game video that ridiculed members of Kings before Game 3 of playoff series April 24. Announced that following high school players said they will enter draft, though none will hire an agent: J.R. Smith of St. Benedict's in Newark, N.J., Al Jefferson of Prentiss (Miss.) High and Shaun Livingston of Peoria (Ill.) Central High.

BULLS: Named Jay Hillock director of pro personnel.
