White Sox update

Under new manager Ozzie Guillen, the White Sox are tied for first place with the Minnesota Twins in the American League Central. They have won seven of their past 10, and rank fifth in the AL in hitting and sixth in pitching and fielding. The White Sox lead the league with 37 home runs, including seven by Magglio Ordonez. They also are 9-1 in one-run games, the best record in the AL, compared with 18-22 last year and 15-21 in 2002. Infielder Juan Uribe has been an early surprise, ranking third in the AL with a .384 average. The White Sox won last year's season series, 4-2, though the Orioles took two of three at Camden Yards. Loaiza threw seven shutout innings in a 1-0 win on May 13 in Chicago. The Orioles have won only one of their past seven series against the White Sox, going 30-44.
