A man was fatally shot and two others were hurt at a party in the Parkside neighborhood of Northeast Baltimore, early yesterday city police said.

Neighbors reported multiple gunshots and screams coming from a house in the 4300 block of Shamrock Ave. about 3:20 a.m., police said. When police arrived, one man was dead and a man and woman were injured with gunshot wounds to the legs, said Officer Nicole Monroe, a police spokeswoman.

In another weekend slaying, an unidentified man was shot several times about 1:25 a.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of N. Durham St. and died later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Police knew of no motive and had no suspects. Anyone with information about the case is urged to call Detective Robert Patton, 410-396-2100.


Senior center to offer camp for old and young

COCKEYSVILLE Registration is to begin today for Cockeysville Senior Centers annual Grandparent and Grandchildren Summer Camp.

The camp, for children ages 5 to 12, enables grandparents to participate with their grandchildren in activities such as magic shows, science demonstrations, nature programs, arts and crafts, and games.

The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays from June 30 to August 18 at the center, 10535 York Road. The cost is $20 per child. Information: 410-887-7694.
