Lunchtime seminar at college to focus on financial statements

The Miller Small Business Resource Center at Carroll Community College will hold the final installment of its Lunchtime Seminar series at noon May 13.

Business owners and operators can take a lunch to the free seminar. Harriet Gillan will speak on "What Do all These Numbers Mean? -- Understanding Your Financial Statement."

A discussion will be held on content and format, how owners and managers can use these tools to monitor the financial health of their organization, and what third parties look for.

Registration is requested by Tuesday.

Chamber schedules networking event

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce will hold its Connections After Hours networking session and business card exchange from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. May 18 at Bell Cedars Retreat House.

The informal chamber gathering is held for members to network and exchange business cards. Reservations are required by May 11.

Resource center offers workshops, programs

The Carroll County Business and Employment Resource Center offers workshops and programs to help people who may be searching for a job or looking for a new career.

Seminar topics include resumes, interviewing and computer basics.

Coldwell Banker names top Carroll sales agents

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has announced its top Carroll County sales agents for March.

Top agents were Cynthia Massari, Hampstead; Charles Condon, Mount Airy; and Susan Klopp, Westminster.

Realtor graduates from leadership academy

Scott M. Lederer of Westminster recently graduated from the fourth annual Maryland Association of Realtors Leadership Academy.

He and 17 other Realtors from around the state took the program to enhance their leadership skills, knowledge and abilities.
