Second-ranked Navy held Colgate scoreless for two quarters en route to a 15-5 victory over the Raiders in the semifinals of the Patriot League men's lacrosse tournament yesterday at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.

The Midshipmen (11-2) broke a 2-2 first-quarter tie with a 10-0 run that extended into the fourth quarter. Seniors Joe Bossi and Ben Bailey each scored three times during the run, which the Raiders (8-7) broke with a goal from Eddie Brennan with 14:24 remaining.

Navy will meet second-seeded Hobart (8-5) in tomorrow's final. The Statesmen rallied past third-seeded Bucknell, using an 8-5 tear in the second half to escape with a 10-9 win.

Mount St. Mary's 6, Sacred Heart 5: Freshman Kristen Gealy's goal with 1:47 left gave the top-seeded Moutaineers (13-4) a win over the No. 4 seed Pioneers in a Northeast Conference tournament semifinal in West Long Branch, N.J.

Gealy's score, which secured the Mount's second straight appearance in the league title game, came after she received a pass from behind the goal, wrapping around the cage and whistling a far-post shot past goalkeeper Amy Lavoie.

The Mountaineers will face second-seeded Monmouth, 17-4 winner over Quinnipiac yesterday, in tomorrow's final.
