Indians update

Former Cleveland center fielder Milton Bradley took some shots at his old team in this week's issue of Sports Illustrated. "It was like a sinking ship, and I was glad to get my life raft and get my second chance over here," said Bradley, who was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers for outfield prospect Franklin Gutierrez. "The right people aren't in charge there, and I'm not the only person on that team who feels this way. There are a lot of unhappy people over there, just working for a paycheck." The fury was mostly directed at Indians manager Eric Wedge, and it was yet another reason the organization is glad to be rid of Bradley. Granted, the guy can hit. But even without him, the Indians entered yesterday ranked fifth in the American League with a .282 batting average. Second baseman Ron Belliard leads the league with a .425 average.
