Notable: Last May, while playing in North Carolina, MacGregor caught the attention of national recording act 2 Skinnee J's and wound up opening for the band on a two-week tour.

Quotable: Wax on how the band fused diverse musical genres to form its style: "Everybody's into different stuff. We didn't really think about it; we just wrote it, and that's how it came out."
