Towson rips Drexel, 13-8

Freshman attackman Bobby Griebe scored a game-high three goals, as Towson earned its second straight Colonial Athletic Association regular season title with a 13-8 victory over Drexel at Johnny Unitas Stadium.

In completing a perfect 5-0 record in conference play, the 10th-ranked Tigers improved to 8-3 overall, while the visiting Dragons fall to 4-8 on the season and 1-4 in the CAA.

It was the seventh straight win for the Tigers.

Senior midfielder Ben DeFelice led the Tigers at the face-off "X" by winning 14 of 17 draws. He also registered 13 ground balls and scored one goal. As a team, the Tigers won 16 of 25 face-offs against the Dragons.

Junior Reed Sothoron (St. Mary's Ryken) made eight saves in the victory for Towson.
