Blue Jays update

The Blue Jays ended a five-game losing streak last night by beating the Red Sox, but they are last in the American League East and have the AL's worst record at 4-11. They are 1-8 at home, so a road trip might be the perfect remedy. As a team, Toronto is batting .222. Carlos Delgado is hitting .170 with two home runs after belting 42 last year. Third baseman Eric Hinske is batting .189. The Orioles swept the Blue Jays at SkyDome last weekend, outscoring them, 23-5. Hentgen lost to his former team in the finale, giving up three runs (two earned) in seven innings. Towers, another former Oriole, allowed three runs and eight hits in 4 2/3 innings but didn't get the decision. Halladay, last year's AL Cy Young winner, is 9-2 with a 2.26 ERA lifetime against the Orioles.
