Towson women top La Salle, 20-11

Caitlin Marshall scored a game-high four goals and four players had three goals each as the No. 16 Towson women's team defeated La Salle, 20-11, in a nonconference game yesterday in Philadelphia.

The Tigers (12-3) took a 9-5 advantage into halftime and outscored the Explorers (3-10) 11-6 in the second half.

Becky Trumbo and Erin Cayea each had three goals and two assists for Towson.

Men

Washington College 18, Haverford 6: Stephen Berger and Jon Spivey had four goals and two assists each as the Shoremen (13-0, 6-0) downed the host Fords (7-4, 2-4) in a Centennial Conference game.

Thirteen players scored at least one goal or recorded at least one assist for the Shoremen.

The Shoremen's 13-game winning streak is their longest in a season, surpassing the record of 12 set in 1949 and equaled last year.

Gettysburg 13, McDaniel 4: The Bullets (8-3, 4-1) scored the first eight goals in a win over the visiting Green Terror (5-7, 2-3) in the Centennial Conference.

Randolph-Macon 13, Villa Julie 9: Ryan Hogan scored twice for the Mustangs (4-6) in their loss to the visiting Yellow Jackets (5-8).
