Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Shooting: Kenya Randall, 24, was walking in the 700 block of Appleton St. about 2 a.m. Monday when someone shot him in the chest and right arm. He was reported in critical condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southern District

Assault: Curtis Whattberg, 45, was preparing for bed about 7 p.m. Monday when he asked a fellow resident of a group home in the 1000 block of Hollins St. to lower the volume on the television. An argument ensued, and the other man threatened him with a knife before others intervened. Michael Norris, 46, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking two men and a woman who forced their way into a house in the 100 block of Cowhide Circle about 6 p.m. Tuesday and robbed a 74-year-old disabled man of $400 at gunpoint.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrests: Three women and a 17-year-old girl were arrested Tuesday and charged with shoplifting nearly $1,200 worth of clothing from Sears at Eastpoint Mall. A theft-prevention officer saw them leaving the store about 6 p.m. without paying for the items they had placed in Sears shopping bags. Charged with theft were Kysha Jones, 19, of the 2000 block of E. Madison St.; Ladoya Jones, 20, of the 700 block of Linnard St.; and Casandra Scott, 21, of the 6000 block of Moonflower Court. The girl was charged as a juvenile.
