Triple-A International League

Ottawa 10, Buffalo 5: The Lynx (4-4) jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two innings. Brian Forystek (1-0) got the win, and Robert Ellis (0-1) took the loss. Rodney Ormond earned his first save. Chris Clapinski homered off Ormond in the seventh for the Bisons (3-4).

Double-A Eastern League

Bowie 16, Erie 7: Jose Morban homered twice to lift the visiting Baysox (4-4) over the SeaWolves (2-6). Bowie jumped to an early lead against Erie starter Preston Larrison (0-1), who gave up six runs on eight hits in four innings. Morban had a two-run homer in the fourth and added a bases-empty homer in the eighth. Gary Cates, Ed Rogers and Octavio Martinez each drove in two runs, and Bowie capitalized on four errors by Erie. Kurt Airoso had a three-run homer for the SeaWolves. Bowie reliever Tom Jacquez (1-0) earned the win with 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Single-A Carolina League

Kinston 3, Frederick 2: Nathan Panther drove in two runs, and Daniel Denham struck out nine as the Southern Division-leading Indians (7-0) defeated the host Keys (1-6). Denham (2-0) allowed no runs on four hits and one walk in five innings. Rommie Lewis (0-2) allowed one run on five hits for the Keys.

Single-A South Atlantic League

Delmarva 7, Lexington 5: Juan Guiterez hit a three-run double to spark the five-run eighth as the host Shorebirds (3-4) defeated the Legends (4-5). Guiterez went 2-for-4 with four RBIs the Shorebirds (3-4). Hayden Penn (1-0) allowed one run and one hit in three innings. Robert Ramsey (0-1) took the lost for the Legends (4-5). Ramsey and Aaron Williams tried to save the game for Josh Muecke but surrendered five runs, erasing a 4-2 Legends lead. Lexington capitalized on early wildness of Delmarva Starter Adam Loewen, who walked seven in five innings. Three of the batters who walked scored Lexington's first three runs.

Charleston, W.Va. 4, Hagerstown 0: David Smith hit a two-run double to spark a three-run third as the Northern Division-leading Alley Cats (6-2) topped the host Suns (2-4). Thomas Mastny (1-0) got the win, and Jesse English (0-1) took the loss. Brad Esaray and Mark Sopko combined for three innings of relief, and Sopko earned his first save.
