Erie 6, Bowie 3: Juan Tejada hit a grand slam to back up four hitless innings by Wil Ledezma as the host SeaWolves beat the Baysox.

Ledezma held Bowie hitless until Gary Cates' leadoff single in the fifth while Erie built a six-run lead to end a four-game losing streak.

Jason Karnuth earned the save.

Single-A Carolina League

Frederick 8, Salem 3: Doug Gredvig hit his first home run, a three-run shot in the seventh inning, as the Keys (1-5) took the lead and got their first win of the season in front of 2,043 at Harry Grove Stadium. Frederick trailed until the seventh. Winner Jim Tiller (1-0) pitched three innings. He gave up one hit and one walk and struck out three.

Single-A South Atlantic League

Lexington 10, Delmarva 3: The visiting Legends (4-4) broke open a pitchers' duel with three runs off Brian Finch (1-1) in the fifth inning and held on to beat the Shorebirds (2-4). Winner Derick Grigsby (2-0) allowed just two hits.

Charleston, W.Va. 7, Hagerstown 5: The visiting Alley Cats (5-2) scored two runs in the 10th inning to hand the Suns (2-3) a home-opening loss. With the game tied 5-5 in the ninth, Hagerstown loaded the bases but didn't score.
