Triple-A International League

Syracuse 7, Ottawa 2: The visiting SkyChiefs took advantage of six errors by the Lynx to win Game 1 of a doubleheader.

Ottawa 4, Syracuse 3: Darnell McDonald's two-out, two-run triple gave the Lynx (3-4) a come-from-behind win over the SkyChiefs (2-5).

Double-A Eastern League

Reading 4, Bowie 0: Scott Youngbauer and Jeff Phelps each homered to lead the visiting Phillies over the Baysox.

Bowie 4, Reading 1: The Baysox (3-3) scored three runs in the first to earn a doubleheader split against the Phillies (3-3).

Single-A Carolina League

Salem 7, Frederick 5: Jon Helquist's ninth-inning triple drove in the game-winner to lift the Avalanche (3-1) past the host Keys (0-4).

Single-A South Atlantic League

Delmarva 5, Kannapolis 4: The host Shorebirds (2-3) took a 5-1 lead after four innings and reliever Tony Neal got out of a bases-loaded jam in the ninth to preserve the win in the first game. Delmarva scored three in the bottom of the inning and adding two in the fourth.

Hickory at Hagerstown: Once again the home opener for the Suns (2-2) against the Crawdads (3-1) was postponed because of inclement weather and poor field conditions. All three games of the home-opening series were rained out. They will be made up as part of doubleheaders in Hickory on May 3, 4 and 8.
