Baseball

ANGELS: Agreed to terms with OF Garret Anderson on four-year, $48 million contract extension through 2008, with club option for 2009.

BLUE JAYS: Extended player development contract with Triple-A Syracuse through 2006 season.

CUBS: Placed IF Mark Grudzielanek on 15-day DL, retroactive to April 10, with partial tear of right Achilles' tendon. Activated IF Jose Macias from DL.

DODGERS: Placed former Orioles OF Jayson Werth on 15-day DL, retroactive to April 6, with strained oblique muscle. Recalled OF Chin-Feng Chen from Single-A Las Vegas.

EXPOS: Agreed to terms with P Livan Hernandez on three-year contract extension through 2007 season.

MARINERS: Traded P Glenn Bolt to Dodgers for P Aaron Looper and optioned Looper to Triple-A Tacoma. Traded P Terry Mulholland to Twins for cash considerations. Waived C Ryan Christianson.
