WINE OF THE WEEK

April 14, 2004|By Michael Dresser

2002 Lindemans Bin 75 Riesling, Southeastern Australia ($9). This dry, flavorful white wine, made somewhat in the Alsace tradition, is an exceptional value for less than $10. It offers a complex and intense mix of sweet pea, white-pepper, lime, pear and mineral flavors. The finish is long, clean and gripping. Dry riesling is exceptionally versatile and can be served with pork, ham, poultry or seafood.
