Howell's 4 goals drive Goucher, 9-7

Kate Howell scored four goals and Ashley Snyder added two to lift Goucher to a 9-7 women's lacrosse victory over visiting Catholic yesterday.

The Gophers (9-4, 3-2 Capital Athletic Conference ) scored six times in the first half on their way to a two-goal advantage at halftime. Goucher recorded 27 shots, including 20 on goal.

Sarah McGrath made 11 saves for Catholic (6-6, 0-4). Ali Jarden led the Cardinals with three goals and Marisa Schaffer scored twice.
