Career fair to be held May 26 at the airport

The Maryland Aviation Administration will hold its career fair May 26 at Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

The sixth fair is expected to include participants from airlines and retail, food and security companies. Those seeking employment will be able to apply for entry- to executive-level positions, the MAA said.

The MAA is accepting reservations from businesses interested in participating.

Southwest Airlines to add nonstop flight to Las Vegas

Southwest Airlines is planning to schedule an additional daily nonstop flight from BWI to Las Vegas.

The extra flights, made possible by the purchase of two new Boeing aircraft, are to begin June 13.

Southwest now runs two daily nonstop flights to Las Vegas.

Continental eliminating paper tickets by end of year

Continental Airlines is planning to eliminate paper tickets by the end of the year.

As part of its move to electronic ticketing, Continental has ended 50 interline ticketing and baggage agreements with other air carriers that do not use electronic ticketing.
