Triple-A International League

Ottawa 6, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 2: For the second night in a row, Jose Leon homered, sparking a three-run fourth inning for the host Lynx (2-0). Leon hit a two-run homer last night to account for all the scoring. Sean Bergman (1-0) got the win. Bud Smith (0-1) took the loss for the Red Barons (0-2). Chase Utley hit his first homer, with the bases empty, off Bergman in the fourth.

Double-A Eastern League

Bowie 3, Harrisburg 2: Kris Wilken had two hits, including a homer, as the host Baysox (2-0) held off the Senators (0-2). The Baysox led 3-0 until the Senators' John Wilson hit a two-run homer with two outs in the ninth inning. The next batter grounded out to end the game.

Single-A Carolina League

Lynchburg 5, Frederick 3: The visiting Keys (0-1) lost their season opener for the ninth consecutive year. A pitchers' duel began the game with the first run not scoring until the sixth inning.

Single-A South Atlantic League

Charleston, W.Va. 4, Delmarva 3: Juan Peralta singled in the bottom of the 10th to score Brian Patrick and lift the host Alleycats (1-1) over the Shorebirds (1-1). Charleston jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one before Delmarva scored single runs in fourth, sixth and seventh innings, including Matthew Houston's RBI single to tie the score at 3-3 and force extra-innings. Mark Sopko (1-0) earned the win, and Brandon Spillers (0-1) took the loss.

Hagerstown 13, Lexington 3: Dayton Buller homered in the seventh, and Jesse Schmidt hit a three-run triple in the eighth to power the visiting Suns (2-0) past the Legends (0-2). Joe Bateman (1-0) got the win, and Joey DeLeon (0-1) took the loss.
