On April 3, 2004, JOAN BAHNTGESAMUELSON died at Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care. Born April 24, 1935 in Middletown, NY, she was the daughter of C. William Bahntge and Agnus Margaret (nee Skeldon) Bahntge. Following the death of her mother shortly after birth, she was raised by her stepmother Gladys Delvina (nee Royer) Bahntge. She was an active member of the Eastern Star, Queen Esther Chapter #163 of Middletown, NY. Joan worked as a bookkeeper for Kidde Engineering Consultants for 29 years in Baltimore. She is survived by her loving husband, W.T. Samuelson whom she joined in marriage in 1981. They have resided at Oak Crest Village since 1997. She is also survived by her two sisters, Bette Maxwell of Ft. Pierce, FL and Lynne Young of Ft. Mill, SC and her nieces and nephews Robert, Jeffrey, Wendy, Brenda, Bill, Timothy and Heather: her three stepdaughters, Mary Samuelson of Fawn Grove, PA, Nancy Kelly of Camp Verde, AZ and Susan Ewing also of Fawn Grove and three grandsons, two granddaughters and a great granddaughter. Friends may call at Evans Chapel of Memories - Parkville, 8800 Harford Rd. on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. A Christian Service will be held at 8:00 P.M. with private interment at Druid Ridge Cemetery the following morning. There will be a memorial service for friends and family at Oak Crest Village on April 20th at 11:00 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Towson or to the Oak Crest Village Scholarship Fund.
