Freshman attackman Bobby Griebe scored three goals and senior midfielder Drew Pfarr added four assists to lead Towson to its third straight win, a 17-6 non-conference victory over Mount St. Mary's at Johnny Unitas Stadium Tuesday evening.

The win pushed Towson (4-3) over the .500 mark for the first time this year while the loss dropped the defending Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champions to 2-6.

Towson jumped out to a commanding 10-0 lead on the Mountaineers in the first quarter and never looked back.

Making just the second start of his college career, Mark DeGroat made nine saves and allowed just one goal in 47 minutes.

Sophomore Dan Whitehurst made 14 saves for the visiting Mountaineers.
