Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Arrest: Darrell Ashe, 17, was arrested Sunday afternoon near his home in the 3700 block of Crestfield Ave. by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Ashe was charged as an adult with shooting Shane Dorsey of the 2300 block of W. Baltimore St. on March 31 in the first block of N. Morley St.

Southern District

Shootings: Two men in their 20s were walking in the 900 block of Bethune Road about 12:30 a.m. Sunday when the passenger of a passing car fired several shots, hitting one man in the right leg and the other in the left leg. Both victims were treated at Harbor Hospital.

Assault: Two brothers were arguing in their home in the 3000 block of Larue Square East about 1:20 a.m. Sunday when one of them picked up a shotgun and pointed it at their 70-year-old mother. The woman was not injured. The armed brother fled the house and was being sought.

Robbery: A 41-year-old woman was walking in the 4200 block of Morrison Court about 1:40 p.m. Saturday when a man grabbed $20 she was carrying in her right hand and fled.

Southeastern District

Theft: A purse containing a cell phone and other personal property -- all valued at $270 -- was stolen Sunday from a 2002 Suzuki parked in the 500 block of S. Central Ave.

Burglary/arrest: Hearing the sounds of a man entering a house in the 900 block S. Charles St. on Friday, a female occupant picked up her cell phone and hid in a closet where she called 911 for help. In minutes, police entered the house and arrested the intruder. Charged with burglary was Roger Terry, 27, of the nearby 100 block of W. Ostend St.

Eastern District

Theft: A gas-operated wood chopper valued at $600 was stolen Sunday from the front porch of a house in the 2900 block of E. Federal St.

Theft/arrest: A 39-year-old woman from North Belnord Avenue was arrested Sunday after she attempted to leave Murry's Steaks in the 2200 block of E. Monument St. without paying for six 12-ounce cans of tuna.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Theft/arrest: An employee of a Shell gas station in the 2100 block of E. Joppa Road was arrested early Monday and charged with felony theft and making a false police report. The man had told police that another man, armed with a knife, entered the station office about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, cut him and stole about $900. Contacted by the owner at home early Monday morning, the employee changed his story and said he would return the money. Returning to the closed station, the man dropped the money into the cashier's tray and was immediately arrested by police parked nearby. Charged was John Thorpe, 38, of the 500 block of Nicoll Ave. in Northeast Baltimore. A District Court commissioner released Thorpe on his own recognizance.

Franklin Precinct

Robbery: Police were seeking a man who attacked a woman, 50, as she walked in the 6700 block of Old Pimlico Road about 11:45 p.m. Saturday and stole her purse containing cash and property -- all of unknown value.
