Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Rape: A man broke into a woman's home on Fait Avenue about 2 a.m. Saturday while she slept in a bedroom, struck her with his fists several times, then raped her. The victim was in good condition at Mercy Medical Center.

Stolen vehicle: A black 2002 Nissan Sentra with tags KTT 013 was stolen Saturday in the 700 block of S. Central Ave.

Carjack try: A man, 44, was stopped in the 2900 block of E. Lombard St. about 6:15 p.m. Saturday when a gunman with his hair in a ponytail ordered him out of his 1992 Dodge van. Instead of complying, the motorist sped away and called police.

Southern District

Drive-by shooting: Kevin Matthews, 20, of Cherry Hill was walking in the 900 block of Bethune Road about 1:30 a.m. yesterday when the occupant of a passing car fired a shot that struck him in the left leg. Matthews was treated at Harbor Hospital Center. Police know of no motive and have no suspect.

Theft: A digital camera, backpack and personal papers -- all valued at more than $500 -- were stolen over the weekend from a 1999 Honda Odyssey in the 700 block of Battery Ave.

Northeastern District

Killer sought: Police continued to seek an unknown gunman who fatally shot Christian Smallwood, 18, Thursday night in the 1500 block of Winford Road. Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Detectives Ray Laslett or Mark Hughes at 410-396-2100.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Rape/arrest: A Towson University student was arrested Saturday and charged with raping an 18-year-old woman in his dorm room earlier in the day. The woman had accompanied the student to his room in Tower B, where she was raped between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m., the victim told police. She fled the room and told a friend, who called police. The victim was treated at Mercy Medical Center. Arrested and charged with second-degree rape was Justin P. Muller, 18, whose home address was not available yesterday.

Franklin Precinct

School burglary: Someone broke into and vandalized a portable classroom at Deer Park Middle School in the 9800 block of Winans Road on Saturday.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: A gunman forced a driver for Domino's Pizza in the 5800 block of Johnnycake Road back inside the business about 12:30 a.m. Saturday and removed an undisclosed sum of money from a safe.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: Jewelry, a watch, 70 compact discs and 10 DVDs -- all valued at $2,470 -- were stolen over the weekend from the living room of a house in the 1100 block of Punjab Drive.
