JHU women knock off No. 9 Vanderbilt, 12-11

Blue Jay senior Heidi Pearce scored four goals and added an assist to lead the No. 12 Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team to a 12-11 win over ninth-ranked Vanderbilt Sunday afternoon at Homewood Field.

Freshman Mary Key (St. Mary's) posted two goals and three assists for the Blue Jays, who improved to 10-0 overall and 4-0 in the American Lacrosse Conference while extending their Division I school-record winning streak to 10 games.

The Commodores, who are the highest ranked Division I team ever defeated by Hopkins, fell to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the league.
